  • Thank you to all parents who have completed the Active Movement questionnaire. This information helps us to tailor the programme to our children’s needs.

The survey will take less than 3 minutes to complete and would really help us please click on the link below. Thank you.

  • Please can we remind you we are a Nut Free school.  Please be mindful of this when sending in packed lunches/snacks. We have children at both sites that have severe nut allergies.
  • We raised £306.55 for Children in Need this year. Thank you all for your donations!
  • On December 10th, Santa is paying us a socially distanced visit across both sites. Each class bubble will have the opportunity to wave and wish him well. There will also be the opportunity to share any letters they may have written with potential present ideas and pleasantries! If your child would like to share a letter please include their home address or school address; and make sure they have them on the morning of the 10th.
  • We can’t wait to welcome Santa at Roundwood. Mrs Handley
  • Christmas gifts and cards this year…

We still want the children to be able to send cards and gifts as they usually would as this is a big part of their festive celebrations.

This year we will simply quarantine before sharing, and of course – once received, you can quarantine at home too if you would like.

We really want Christmas to be as close to normal as possible because this is so important for our children.

  • Within school we are currently having to use paper towels for drying hands and for some cleaning. This is proving very costly.  If anyone has any connections to a company that could donate blue roll/paper towels to us, we would be very grateful. If any parents would like to help with this by donating kitchen roll, for your child’s class to use, this would also be a great help, thank you.
  • Hot meal menu change – Puddings on Monday 30th now Syrup Sponge and Wednesday will be Cheesecake. If you need to change your child’s order please let the office know.

Year Group Updates

Foundation Stage

Year 1

  • Homework – Homework is set each week on Tapestry. This is set on a Friday and should be completed on or before Wednesday of the following week. It should then be uploaded to Tapestry. If any parents are unable to access their Tapestry account or if you would like a second account set up for another parent please email the school office and Mrs Kent will set this up for you.
  • Hair – As you’ll be aware we have had several incidences of head lice recently in KS1. Please can we advise everyone to check their child’s hair regularly for both eggs and lice. Please can we remind parents that if your child’s hair is long enough to wear up, that it is put up every day at school.
