My name is Lewis Webb and I have been teaching for over ten years. I have previously enjoyed working as a long-term supply teacher in both the North and South of the country, usually spending a term or two in a wide variety of primary schools. However, I am now in my sixth year as the permanent Year 5 teacher here at Roundwood, the longest I have ever chosen to stay in one position!
Inside the school, I am the Roundwood Music coordinator and take an active role in the arranging of the various performances to the local community. I run the Tuesday music assembly where, on top of the singing and discussions of various genre and instruments, I also offer the opportunity for children to perform live each week in front of the entire school. From violinists to self-choreographed dance routines, this always proves to be exciting highlight of the week for both our pupils and teachers alike.
Outside of school, I am an active musician, artist and writer. I continue to tour all over the world with my nine-piece rock band, whilst spending my remaining free time writing both a novel and a television series. My passion for creativity and inspiring others is what brought me into the Primary classroom in the first place, and continues to be my favourite aspect of the profession after a decade of teaching.
